Lost or Overwhelmed With Your Creative Career? Try Coaching!

Dear readers of The Part-Time Artist blog,

I am very proud to present the new addition to this website: my brand new coaching page! It’s pretty, it’s shiny, it has a lot of details already, but I thought I would take some time to talk about what this service is exactly, and answer questions you might have about it.

What Is Coaching?

Coaching is a process that focuses on an individual, on their performance and on what they do now. The idea is to help you define your goals and obstacles, and to work through them together.

Coaching is not teaching or therapy. Teaching means someone telling you a lot of things, and you learning from it. Therapy means analysing the past to understand the present. Coaching is more focused on the present, and on listening. A coach is someone that will facilitate your leaning, and guide you while you figure out your own solutions. Why Would I Need a Coach?

There is no typical profile of people who hire coaches, but these people have one thing in common: they want to improve their current situation.

Have you been feeling unmotivated, unsuccessful, perhaps even inadequate lately? Do you fear that you’re getting nowhere with your art, and don’t know how to get momentum? That’s when a coach dedicated to your creative career is the most helpful.

A coach is not a therapist. Working with a coach means that you are working to find the right path for your art, and that someone is holding you accountable. Generally, working with a coach will get you to your end goal quicker than doing it alone.

Why Should I Work With You?

I’m quite new to the coaching world, but I have a lot of experience when it comes to working with creative people and getting the best out of them. I know that each situation is unique, so my coaching style involves a lot of listening and asking insightful questions in order to understand your particular needs and obstacles.

Coaching has always been one of my goals for this website, because I understand that in some situations blog posts and podcast episodes are not enough. I tried to make the price affordable, so I can help as many people as possible. Whether it is with punctual sessions or with a regular appointment, I am there to help you finish a difficult project, regain lost confidence or make changes in the way you approach your art.

I’m constantly aiming to improve myself, and my goal is to reach a point where I have enough clients to validate my coaching certification. Which means that I will give 100% into all my sessions and for all my clients.
